Mirage in the Desert Micro-Wedding at Le Chacuel in Yucca Valley | Jen + Scott
It all started about a year ago when Jen and Scott came to Joshua Tree on a road trip. They lost their car keys in the national park at dusk, and so their integration with the desert was solidified. Between the stranded adventure and the awe of the desert, they knew they’d have to come back for their wedding.
Their wedding weekend spanned three days. Day one included a traditional tea ceremony in Joshua Tree National Park. A bucket hat for each guest with an inside joke embroidered “I hate it here.”
Day two was their wedding day: inspired by the mirage of the desert and the wonder of it. The contrast of reflective fabric with desert tumbleweed. A color palette pulled from the desert in bloom. An aerialist performance, stargazing, and a pool party let guests in on the absolute fun Jen and Scott make of their lives. The passing of their rings during ceremony so that each of their loved ones could bestow a blessing. The exchange of private vows after ceremony. An extra long cake, a desert-inspired dinner menu, and mini cheesesteaks from their home of Philadelphia was the flavor of their day.
Finally, on day three they went back to the national park for a sunset session just the two of them. A tender end to the weekend.
In all, it was unforgettable.
