Our 7 Favorite Venues for an Elevated Camp Wedding

Many of our clients come to us with a simple vision: a wedding day that feels like summer camp of childhoods past, but make it fancy.

When we’re met with this proposition we’re always game. We personally have fond childhood memories of summer camp and spend many weekends throughout the year camping and rock climbing with friends.

When it comes to weddings that span a weekend we aim to make the guest experience elevated, with no detail left undone. Camp weddings are no exception. For us, they don’t mean pitching tents in the forest, peeing in the cover of bushes, or cooking meals over a campfire (though we do love all these things).

For us, a camp wedding means embedding all the core values of camping into an elevated experience that prioritizes comfort and ease.

This can look like many things, but here are some examples:

  • Dwellings that are separate from one another (not a hotel or lodge) and have their own private bathrooms and modern amenities

  • Grilled or wood-fired meals by a private chef or caterer

  • Organized activities like hiking, swimming in the lake, horseback riding, bonfire gathering, and more

  • Spa treatments to recover after an activity-filled day

  • Guest welcome bags filled with camping essentials like a custom-branded tee shirt, individual sunscreen, box of matches, beer koozie, disposable camera, and water bottle

Below we’re sharing seven of our favorite venues where this experience can easily be crafted. All of these venues share a common theme: set in nature with stunning views, individual cabins or campers with modern amenities, and a centralized gathering space for intimate events like rehearsal dinners, late night bonfires, weddings, after parties, and goodbye brunches.
