Holiday, Winter Wedding in Philadelphia | Marygrace + Seamus
One of our first memories of Marygrace was her singing a song she and her sisters wrote for her brother’s wedding. She was delightful, warm, and captivating. A couple years later we received a text from Marygrace wanting to invite us into her and Seamus’s wedding planning!
Honored and so excited, we hopped right in to what Marygrace and Seamus began planning: a delightful, holiday wedding filled with family, warmth, faith, and love.
The wedding day was joy filled and unrushed.
The ladies got ready at Marygrace’s family home. A lovely historic house near downtown West Chester. We buzzed over to their family church, St. Agnes Parish, for a stunning ceremony. It was as if Marygrace and Seamus were walking on clouds.
Guests were greeted at The Phoenixville Foundry with an abundance of holiday sparkle, delicious cheese boards, and bubbling cocktails.
Guests left messages on vintage postcards for Marygrace and Seamus while seated at an antique writing desk then were served hot cocoa.
After dinner the band began playing “Santa Clause is Coming to Town.” Santa himself arrived and danced with Marygrace. Everyone wanted a photo with Santa at the photobooth. He was so cheery and brought the holiday spirit alive!
Marygrace and Seamus are not only fun, they are thoughtful. To honor fallen soldiers, they included a special table (POW/MIA table) and asked their friend, a Captain in the Air Force, to share about the fallen soldier honoring moment.
They also honored their family through spotlight dances—Marygrace with her dad and entire family and Seamus dancing to New York, New York with his mother who immigrated to NYC from Ireland. Marygrace’s father, Frank, also shared a lovely speech for the two of them.
