French Countryside Inspired Hyper-Local Wedding at Haseltine Estate | Rachel + Jonathan
Rachel and Jonathan combine their love of travel with their love of home through their fall wedding in the ozarks.
Inspired by French picnics, international travel, dining with community, and love of their own community, Rachel and Jonathan hosted 120 loved ones for an outdoor soiree.
These two met during college but fell in love walking the streets of Budapest, hiking the highest mountain in Colorado, and hosting friends for Jonathan’s gourmet meals.
We incorporated their love of growing and cooking their own food in the design through using planters and garden sticks as table numbers and menus, the seating chart was mounted with vintage recipe cards, and the food prepared was planted and grown at a local, urban farm. The florals were also grown locally and designed by one of the bride’s best friends.
The bread served was provided by a local bakery known for their delightful bakes.
Hyper-local also means deeply connected to Rachel and Jonathan. They invited and included friends old and new. One of Rachel’s best friends designed the florals. Their mentors officiated. Even we are friends! During the ceremony they invited several guests to share part of a marriage blessing. Each person spoke a different language—weaving their journeys across the globe and nodding to the universality of love.
