Where to Source Wedding Candles | Unique Colored Candles for DIY Wedding

Looking for the perfect colored candle for your wedding?

We get asked quite frequently where we source our candles! We totally get the struggle of searching for that VERY specific tone of terra cotta candle. The perfect candle can be difficult to find. After many years in the wedding industry, we now have a standard list of places we go to purchase quality and unique candles. If you’re DIYing your wedding day, you can purchase from these businesses without a wholesale license.

Here's where we most frequently source candles for wedding and elopement days:

The Floral Society

We love The Floral Society for unique textured and earth-toned candles. These are great for a sweetheart or head table, as they are on the more expensive side. If you have an unlimited budget, then skies the limit!

Yummi Candles

Yummi Candles has nearly every color under the sun in taper, pillar, votive and floating candles. Plus, various sizes for each. They come at a mid-range, affordable price. We use Yummi Candles at nearly every wedding.

Amazon

If you are on a tight budget and don’t need a specific color candle, Amazon is a great option. We use candles from Amazon if we only need white or ivory tones. Here is a link to our Amazon storefront where you can see the candles we order.

Etsy

Etsy has so many amazing makers who create unique candles! Start here if you’re looking to support a small business, want custom or unique candles, and have a relatively flexible budget. Prices can vary drastically on Etsy depending on the type of candle you’re looking for. To start your search, simply start in the Etsy search browser with key words for your candles. For example, search “textured green taper candles.”
