Some people don’t want to “inconvenience” their guests by asking them to join them for a weekend in their favorite Colorado town, tucked up at a low 9,318 ft in elevation. Some people aren’t Devon and Bear. Some people aren’t us.
What we all knew is that it wouldn’t be an inconvenience, it would be an honor. Silverton steals your heart as soon as you arrive. And this couple keeps it forever. They know how to have a good time and make everyone feel at ease. How incredible to be welcomed into their warmth and hilarity. We certainly felt it and walked away from their fall wedding weekend as friends.
A viewfinder seating chart, surprise nude first look, typewriter haikus, passed porrons, a plethora of rugs, their dog walking down the aisle, clay face shot glasses, limbo, a burning fireplace, and wigs galore— it was one filled with so many interactive details that guests couldn’t help but have a blast.
So much gratitude to Devon and Bear and the vendor community that came together to make their day happen in a tiny town wayyyy up in the Rockies.
