Sheika and Nadia share a story that is rooted in inclusivity and deep connection.

When they first met, they felt a spark immediately. On their elopement day in December of 2020, that spark went even deeper. Sheika was pregnant with their baby!

We partnered with Sheika and Nadia to create a day that was built just for them. Their elopement day priorities were to feel deeply connected to the earth and to spend time indulging just the two of them. And hell, did we accomplish those things!

We found an Airbnb just outside Joshua Tree National Park to host their elopement. The Airbnb was intentionally designed with materials and art sourced from local artisans and the location hosted mountain views and planted Joshua Trees.

We designed vow books made from dried clay with flowers impressed, silk ribbon and transparent paper. Offerings Co created a wild bouquet for Sheika, featuring deep burgundy, peach and wine tones. For Nadia, Offerings Co created an arm piece of dried and fresh blooms.

Sheika and Nadia wanted their first look to be a complete surprise! We booked an Airbnb for them that had two bedrooms so that they could get ready the morning of their elopement in separate rooms. They shared their first look on the front porch of the Airbnb.

After they were finished getting ready and had their first look, the couple headed into Joshua Tree National Park with their photographer, Shelby Ayn Photography, to explore and have their portraits taken. One of our favorite photos are those that include their baby’s future shoes and Nadia caressing Sheika’s pregnant belly!

After their portrait session, they came back to have their ceremony in the living room of the Airbnb. During their ceremony they shared in a ritual that connected them to the earth. Their officiant led them in eating specific herbs and drinking a special juice. They also read the vows they had written specially for each other.

For their first dance we had Sheika and Nadia’s phones and went LIVE on Instagram to include their loved ones in the day! It was so fun sharing this special moment with their very best people. We also arranged letters of congratulations and well wishes from loved ones for Sheika and Nadia to read.

To finish the evening, we arranged a personal chef to serve them an intimate dinner. They enjoyed course after course of decadent food. Indulge they did! This was one of our favorite moments of their day— they sat together and talked for hours, eating delicious food and laughing.
