Intentional and collaborative in all the best ways— Zoe and Jacob filled their 50-person wedding weekend with intentional touches to connect with their loved ones and celebrate their story.

Art, antiques, film photography, and hand-selected wine, among many other details, were incorporated. The invite list was intimate— family only. They wanted to focus on what truly mattered: their love story that had it’s origins in the pandemic when Jacob moved in with Zoe and her family as soon as quarantine began. They were only a few months into their relationship, but the close quarters brought them closer.

Those origins rooted in family solidified, strengthened, and deepened their love, and guided us in planning their weekend.

On Day One guests were welcomed to Sparrows Lodge with customized welcome boxes filled with all the desert essentials. Over half of the guest list stayed onsite, soaking in quality time with each other all weekend long. That night they ate appetizers and drank cocktails by the pool, settling into the long weekend with tales of travel and life updates.

On the evening of Day Two they went to the restaurant Birba in downtown Palm Springs for al fresco dining of Italian food and watching the sun set behind the San Jacinto mountains.

Day Three began the festivities we had all been waiting for— signing of an artist-painted ketubah; saying vows under the family tallit, strung from the chuppah; a live trio playing a blend of jazz-funk-folk at cocktail hour; the photographer snapping photos on her film cameras all night long; a MCM burgundy lamp gracing the bar, found on Etsy months prior; a family-style dinner served under string lights and tropical trees with vintage fish vessels from Ukraine overflowing with flowers on the tables; a Riviera Japan porcelain couple cake topper on a traditionally piped cake; and an after party at the local speakeasy with the most committed hora we’ve ever witnessed.

The weekend ended on Day Four with a casual, come and go brunch at Sparrows Lodge.

This was a weekend we will never forget. So many thanks to Zoe and Jacob and their families.
