Wedding Planners Aren't What They Seem—Sincerely, Wedding Planners
Dear friend,
We know you’re knee deep in wedding planning and it feels like a little bit of everything— a crockpot of excitement, unending choices, stress, some nerves, so much love for your partner, sleepless nights, an array of talented vendors making your vision come to life, forgotten details, money spent, celebrations with loved ones, expectations from loved ones, and, oh, so much more.
You haven’t hired a planner, but now you’re wondering if you should’ve done that months ago.
Well, we’re not here to convince you to. We know you already have a lot of people biding for your attention.
And we’ll be brutally honest: a wedding planner doesn’t make wedding planning or a wedding day go perfectly.
Assuming all vendors and guests, as well as the world and the weather, will perfectly fall in line and blend together seamlessly without a hiccup is unrealistic.
What we will tell you: a good wedding planner is a professional creative problem solver with a deep sense of optimism and the ability to act on their feet.
We never promise perfection.
We promise to come up with a plan, a myriad of backup plans and the guts and work ethic to make shit happen against any odds.
And if shit does hit the fan, we're so good at our jobs that, you probably won't know about it until years down the road when we go out for drinks and you ask for the dirty details of your day. Maybe, just maybe, we’ll tell you the juicy details.
Wedding planning, like marriage, is a partnership. Yes, we planners take so much off your plate. However, you, the couple, have to show up to the table too.
We need your presence, contribution and story to make the day truly come to life. From this place of partnership, we’re able to craft a day that truly means something, means something to you and is for you. After all, this is your magical love story.
Anyways, we wanted to share the truth with you because you deserve to know it. Now go out there and make the choices that are best for you and your partner. From there, everything else will fall into the perfectly imperfect place.
Sincerely,
Stevie & Celia, Wedding Planners of Wildly Collective
