An Adventurous elopement + Love story set in the san juan mountains.

Brenna and Sabrina met at a Buddhist Band Camp at 13 years old. Nearly a decade and a half later they eloped in the San Juan Mountains, a range in the Colorado Rockies, at an AirBnb settled off a dirt road, only accessible by a walking bridge.

Talk about adventure! Their story and their love IS one hands down.

It was an honor to get to know this kind, funny and brave couple. Their day was intertwined with meaningful and beautiful details that made us swoon, tear up and say “Hell yes!”

We’re gonna share some of those special details below, and you can also check out their feature in The Cut as well.

Brenna purchased her dress from Cortana and Sabrina had her suit custom designed by Martin Greenfield in New York. The detailing and tones of each of their outfits paired so perfectly with the location! Hazel Avenue Floral designed the bouquet and boutonniere.

They had a portrait session and shared their vows at a secret location near the Airbnb! Cedar and Pines scoped this stellar spot before the elopement day.

The Airbnb and portrait locations were wayyyyyy off the beaten path (just how we like it). It took about an hour of driving dirt roads to find it, and a 4WD vehicle was definitely required.

Brenna and Sabrina shared in a traditional tea ceremony with each of their parents. In this tradition it’s custom for the couple to offer gratitude to their parents through serving them hot tea and a gift. The couple kneels before their parents to thank them for their love and support.

Brenna danced with her dad and Sabrina danced with her whole family on the front patio of the Airbnb. We had so much fun watching them jam out to Oldies and laugh together!

Their ceremony was set in the side yard of the Airbnb. Every view from the yard was jaw dropping; you really couldn’t go wrong picking the ceremony spot. We constructed a floral meadow to ground the ceremony setting to the mountain backdrop.

Brenna and Sabrina brought handmade speckled bowls, chopsticks and hot pot strainer scoops for the tablescape for their intimate dinner! We added taper candles with an eclectic collection of holders and natural linens. We created a couple of whimsical ikebana floral designs for the centerpieces. The entire intimate meal was set on the back patio of the Airbnb.

They had a traditional Asian hot pot meal to eat for dinner. This was one of our favorite moments of the evening! The entire family gathered around the table with propane stoves set with pots of hot water, an assortment of ingredients to add to the pots and a whole lot of passing and sharing! With the sun setting behind the pine trees, they bumped elbows and huddled close as they celebrated Brenna and Sabrina’s love.
