Autumn, Mountain Backdrop Destination Wedding in Golden, Colorado | Tristyn + Bryon

When a couple meets in Colorado it’s only natural that they get married in Colorado.

The original plan for Tristyn and Bryon’s big day was to celebrate them on winter solstice in 2020. As you can imagine with the global pandemic, our plans shifted several times.

These two quickly adjusted when we learned two weeks from their wedding that we not only couldn’t have a gathering larger than 25 guests, now we couldn’t hold their wedding at all. After processing this news they and their families bought tickets to Alaska (where Tristyn had spent several years) and made their marriage official on Winter Solstice there.

Come October of 2021, we gathered with Tristyn, Bryon, and many of their loved ones in Golden, Colorado for a bigger celebration of their marriage.

For their ceremony, instead of a traditional flow with vows, they opted to mix things up! Once at the altar, Tristyn’s sister welcomed everyone, then Tristyn and Bryon shared what they’ve learned and loved about marriage thus far! It was so sweet to hear their own words about the meaning of marriage.

From there, guests celebrated at cocktail hour as Tristyn and Bryon took incredible and fun photos with Lauren Rader, who happens to be a childhood friend of Tristyn’s! The guests were greeted with incredible appetizers, charcuterie, and drinks on the patio with views of Mt. Zion.

On the patio we got our first taste of the amazing music our DJ Ian from Ignight Entertainment had in store for us. Throughout the night he mixed every song perfectly for the next and kept the energy going.

When the couple finally entered the reception, Congratulations by Post Malone played. While not their first song, they kept dancing and dancing, so DJ Ian kept up with their energy. It was one of our favorite couple introductions to date because they truly stole the show with their bad ass dance moves.

Guests enjoyed a cozy and elegant lounge near the dance floor, while others enjoyed the sliders and unforgettable trout dip at the perfectly styled tables. During set up the venue staff said that this design was one of the best they had ever seen in their space. It was really an honor to hear.

Cheers, Tristyn and Bryon! You inspire us!
